Apologies OscTan. I mean agree with, not disagree with.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

No doubt he looks at the houses 99% of people live in in the burbs and turns his nose up in disgust!!! Then he goes around with his hand out trying to save his rich ass with their hard earned cash.

As for the mold in his house, it did kill the dog. The reason the $7 million didn’t go far was the cost of repair and lawyers fees - we all know these things chew up everything from a legal settlement.

OscTan, while I would like to thank you for some great comments on this, that I wholeheartedly disagree with, I have to tell you something. That chick ain’t working. It won’t happen. She spent it all over the last 17 years they were married. She ain’t going back now. But it’s a very nice idea anyway. Who wouldn’t love to see that happen?

Also these baby boomers / silent generation always want everyone else to pick up the tab for them. They are a tumour on the world.

some people, no matter how much money they have, don’t know how to manage it–you’d think he’d have backup plans for any crisis ever foreseen.

He probably blew the money on crack.

Gee Ed, you think maybe it has something to do with your young wife spending your cash????? Ohhhhh wait, I forgot, she married you for love……Welcome to the REAL word!!

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

And why was air time wasted making this clip?

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

Ed can kiss my ass!

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

Ed should be a multi-millionaire traveling the world. How can people fell sorry for someone that disregarded saving, planning, and investing. At 85 he should be happily retired, and his house should have been paid off years ago.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

Amazing. The head of the senate banking committee, Mr. Dodd, got sweet heart deals from Countrywide right before the bubble. And he is over the regulators?

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

Let’s correct a little misconception.

He didn’t “make a career out of helping Americans’ dreams come true.” The old goat sold magazine subscriptions spiced up with get-rich-quick come ons. Big difference. Now he’s blown his loot. Out of the house, deadbeat!

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

I bet the gold digger wife blew through all the cash and Ed is too embarrassed to admit it.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

He got a $7M settlement for mold in that house, he bought it for less than that, so he MADE money on it. WTF did he do with all the money from the settlement? Why wouldn’t you pay it off. Ed, ya pissed it away, your old, you’re gonna die in a few years. You’re not getting my sympathy buddy.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

How long has he been married to this wife? And how old is she? I am assuming she is a moded or former model.
Thanks for the info

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

He broke his neck 18 months ago? Funny how he didn’t wear the neckbrace at the opening of the Simpson’s movie? Ed, here’s a newsflash, your a sleazy Snake-Oil salesman with a gold-digger wife. Rumour has it that this is your 2nd Home.
Live off Social Security like 40% of all retirees you S#@MBAG!

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

I don’t have class envy. Any person, wealthy or poor can lose their home if they don’t practice good financial management. I hope Ed gets through this all, and in the process, learns a lesson from this. Also, the poor guy is older now….he’s broken his neck, and it’s hard to work himself out of that hole when you’re up in years like this. Good luck to him. I wouldn’t want to see my grandfather out on the street….I know you wouldn’t either.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

ed should of down size to a smaller home but he wanted to keep up with the jones.. by the time your 55 your home should of been pay off!!!!!!! ed wife said she had to shop at target you poor thing

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

Damn two celebrities losing millions: Ed McMahon and Holyfield. They can’t afford it.

Reason why people lose money is they can’t hire or can’t afford to hire people. This is why they lose everything.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

SHAMEFUL! SHAMEFUL! SHAMEFUL! Sell your stinking home and downsize. NO SYMPATHY! TELL THAT WOMAN TO GO TO WORK! YOU TWO ARE PATHETIC! There are thousands of us folks who live in homes less than $100K and can barely pay the necessary living expenses and you’re crying over something that is worth $6Million. I’d picket your damn home if I lived there. SELL YOUR FUCKING HOME IF YOU CAN’T AFFORD IT ANYMORE.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

Incredible! Unbelievable! Outrageous! Ed and this woman go on Larry King and cry, looking for public sympathy and contributions because their 6Million dollar home is in foreclosure. SHAME ON YOU Ed. You earned millions in during your lifetime unfortunately you squandered it all living the “high life” and now you want the public to donate to your stupid, idiotic, lavish life style. Ed you deserve your situation man. No sympathy to you and to that woman. Tell her to work.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

what happen to his millions

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

Am i the only one that gets this?? Its hard to feel sorry for someone that insists on living in a 6 million dollar home. This isnt anything like other people across america. I guarantee he wouldnt live in a 200,000 dollar home because of having to have that los angeles/beverly hills prestige. This is ridiculous!

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

I have NO sympathy for this guy.
He got $7 Million from his insurance company 6years ago on a trumped on claim that his house had “mold”. Where is that cash and all the money he made over the years? If he blew it on his wife (32 years younger them him) too bad. Make him work at the local foodstore to pay off his debts like the seniors in my town have to.

Anonymous 10.17.09 at 1:36 am

wow that is terrible
