As the investor sharks started this mortgage feeding frenzy, many mortgages were sold over and over again, each time making cash for the last holder. If your mortgage was sold ILLEGALLY it is up to the original mortgage lender to pay off that mortgage, NOT YOU!
I got it IN WRITING that my mortgage would NOT be sold.

Anonymous 12.05.09 at 11:12 am: After you figure out the outrageous closing costs and the more than likely 30+ year loan and that might include escrow (outrageous insurance and property taxes). Plus astronomical late fees once they were late on a single payment.
