With Hanks, who is always watchable, and Washington, who has also got a very good track record, this film was destined to be fantastic but not even I, who always has an optimistic view when it comes to movies, was ready for the impact that this film made. Anonymous 07.03.09 at 8:48 pm: i love this movie. it really brings out an open understanding of homosexuality and AIDS. it touched me to see how someone struggle to live through in such a difficult time. One of my family died of AIDS and everyone was treating him the way Andrew was treated. I hate people who look down on people who have AIDS. they are people too, they are just unfortunate to carrry the disease. we are suppose to support them, giving them hope. Not avoiding them. peace ^^

Anonymous 07.03.09 at 8:48 pm: there is nothing “factual” about the bible. Religion is based on faith. And faith by definition is belief without any solid facts. If anyone is narrow minded it would be the people who judge others because their faith leads them to think in a certain way.

Here’s some advice. Never use the word “fact” when describing something in the bible. A fact is proven. I don’t care what religion you’re associated with , No matter what religion you’re associated with, you will never ever find proof that your religion is correct.

Say a loved one had aids or hiv would you suddenly forget all you love for your fellow human just because of their sexuality? If God didnt want homosexuals he wouldnt have given us the free will too choose our sexuality. God loves us all.

Even if it did say that it is wrong in the bible, which I am pretty sure it does not, how can you be sure that the bible is correct? Is it not narrow minded to believe something that says a virgin can give birth to a kid that can come back to life, and then become a hypocrit about it?

Too bad he’s really straight. Depressing movie though when I was trying to understand myself - and understand AIDS - and how to avoid it.
