Fighting Foreclosures Picketing Wachovia

A diverse crowd of at least 100 enthusiastic people participated in the picket and rally in front of Wachovia Bank at Peachtree and 10th street this morning, including a big contingent from the Communications Workers of America, most of the other coalition member organizations, and 10 or 12 DSA members. Wachovia is a horrible bank that is hellbent on screwing customers with high fees on overdrafts and rude customer service.

I have been victimized by Wells Fargo.. Forcing a corporate bankruptcy. What some banks are doing to families is immoral and must stop! Is there an organization I can join and be active in to help stop the unfair and hostile practices banks use for profit? It’s a slap in the face to the American public and tax payers when we are handed the tab for financing their “bail-out” . Especially in light of the fact that bank profits are paying hansome dividends to their officials .
